Naomi Campbell announced the birth of her second child on Thursday, nearly two years after welcoming a daughter.
“My little darling, know that you are loved beyond limits and have been surrounded by love ever since you graced us with your presence. A true gift from God,” the 53-year-old supermodel wrote in an Instagram post alongside a photo of her and her daughter holding the newborn. He said, “Welcome babyboy.”
CNN has contacted Campbell’s publicist for comment.
Since her birth in May 2021, Campbell has kept most details of her daughter’s life private, including her name, and has only publicly shared photos of her.
However, last year the pair posed together for British Vogue’s March 2022 cover, photographed by Campbell’s longtime friend and collaborator Steven Meisel. In the cover image, Campbell is shielding her daughter from her chest, wearing a simple black dress against a neutral background.
In the attached interview, she said that she had told very few people that she would become a mother, it appears that she has again made a decision regarding her second child.
“I can count on my fingers the number of people who knew I had him. ” “But that’s the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. This is my best work so far. ” Asked if she would still consider expanding her family, she replied: “Why not? “
Most recently, Campbell performed on the red carpet at the Met Gala and Cannes Film Festival in May and sat in the front row at Pharrell Williams’ first menswear collection for Louis Vuitton earlier this month.
Campbell also told British Vogue at the time that she “always knew that one day” she would have a child, and expressed similar sentiments in her Instagram post on Thursday.
She wrote, “It’s never too late to be a mother. “
