How I Met Your Father Season 2 Episode 19: Sophie (Kim Cattrall) tells her son that life is not always blue skies and sunshine. Sometimes life can be stormy. Although her son feels like she’s referring to some hard times with her friends, Sophie is talking about Hurricane Marcy and the destruction it caused.
At Pemberton’s bar, Val, Ellen, Sophie, Sid, and Charlie, (Francia Raisa, TN Tran, Hilary Duff, Suraj Sharma, and Tom Einsley) see meteorologist Sandy River (Alexis Dennisoff) describing the destruction of the upcoming storm. Sid worries about how long the storm will last because Hannah (Ashley Reyes) could potentially fly through the middle of the storm.
Jesse (Christopher Lowell) comes to the bar with Parker (Meghan Rath) and is excited because they will be together. While their friends are supportive, they question how fast the couple is moving by staying together. Sophie is trying to be a collaborator but her congratulations look strange.
Val takes Sophie aside and asks her what’s amiss. Sophie admits that she is still interested in Jesse. Sophie asks her to tell Jessie how she feels, but she refuses and says she would support her relationship positively. While trying to find the lyrics of the song Jesse wrote for Sophie, Val is shocked by their disappearance.
Back in Sid’s apartment, Ellen talks about how silly the weather announcement is. Jesse invited everyone to a party, which gave him surprising help in packing the party. Sophie is trying to be supportive and friendly and soon discovers that Parker left her last job in the middle of the school year and she won’t explain the reason.
Sophie is suspicious, and she brings Sid into her web of surprises about Parker. Weaving a web of strange conspiracies, Sophie and Sid are searching for more evidence about Parker. Val spends her time looking for lost songs and surrounds Ellen and Charlie in the bathroom about lost songs.
Distracting Parker from the hand-wrestling competition, Sid searches her purse. Jesse wondered what was happening. Alone in the bedroom, Sid informs Sophie that he has found a prescription drug with someone else’s name in Parker’s purse. Sid believes Parker is a drug lord, and while Sophie thinks there’s enough evidence to bring Jesse in, Sid wants more evidence.
By inviting Drew( Josh Peck) to the packing party, they hope to learn further about Parker, since he hired him. Sitting him in the kitchen, Drew thinks Parker is awful. Sophie asks about Parker’s history and learns the name of Parker’s last academy.
Ellen returns home with the hairstyle book, but Val does not want it. Next is a flashback of Ellen trying to give herself a hairstyle, but Val wonders what the big deal is, and Ellen reveals she has been wearing a toupee ever ago.
Calling Parker’s former academy, Sophie learns that the star does not fete the name. Sophie and Jesse both charge Parker of being a cheater of Jesse’s and believe that he’s going to take advantage of Jesse. Parker explains why she has the capsules and Sophie and Sid look ridiculous.
Sophie apologizes and says she only wants what is stylish for Jesse. Parker accepts and also leaves to drop off his mama’s capsules. While trying to apologize to Jesse, Sophie asks for a box to start packing, but he’s furious and tells her that what he did isn’t what a friend would do. The occasion ends with a power outage in the storm.
